Jason Schrock

Jason Schrock is an economist and finance strategist with over 20 years of experience in Colorado state government, specializing in economic, financial, and policy analysis, budgeting, and decision support. He has led the state’s economic and budget forecasts and played a central role in developing and managing Colorado’s state and higher education budgets. His work has focused on rigorous analysis, translating complex information into clear insights that inform budget, policy, strategy, and organizational decision-making.

Jason has held senior leadership roles in the Governor’s Office of State Planning and Budgeting, including Chief Economist and Deputy Director, where he guided economic analysis, forecasting, budget development, and strategic planning across state government. He has also held Chief Financial Officer roles in Colorado state government and higher education, providing financial leadership and supporting executive decision-making.

Earlier in his career, Jason served as a researcher and economist for Legislative Council Staff, the nonpartisan staff for the Colorado Legislature, conducting in-depth analysis of public finance, economic conditions, and public policy issues. He holds a Master of Public Policy from the University of Denver.
