Rachel Romer
Co-founder, Former CEO, Board Chair of Guild
Rachel Romer is the co-founder and former CEO of Guild, currently serving on the Board as Chair as she recovers from an August 2023 stroke. Guild is a Public Benefit Corporation that provides employees of America’s largest companies access to education, skilling, and career mobility through their employers without paying for tuition or career services on their own. Working with organizations like Walmart, Chipotle, Discover, Target, and Providence Health, Guild provides seamless pathways for talent mobility that enhance the employee experience and activate internal talent to achieve business goals. Guild has been recognized as one of TIME’s Most Influential Companies, by CNBC’s Disruptor 50, LinkedIn’s Top Startups, and received Fast Company’s World Changing Ideas award.
Rachel is a trustee for the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee and a board member of the 9/11 Memorial & Museum. Prior to founding Guild in 2015, Rachel was the Founder and CEO of Student Blueprint and worked for the 2008 Obama campaign before serving in the Obama White House. She holds an M.B.A. from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business as well as an M.A. in Education and B.A. in Political Science from Stanford University. Rachel is a board member at Stanley British Primary School, which was co-founded by her grandmother, Bea Romer.
